- 01The performance lasts over 2.5 hours. This includes the intermission.
- 02Yes, there is one intermission halfway through the performance. The theater foyer will be open during this time. You can get a drink or use the restroom there.
- 03Absolutely, Swan Lake is the quintessential performance to introduce young children (from about 6 years old) to classical ballet. The 'white tutu scenes' (Swans by the lake) in particular capture the imagination.
- 04No, that would be very disruptive to the audience around you, who, just like yourself, have come to be carried away by the enchanting fairytale. Furthermore, you might break the dancers' concentration. And that is all regardless of the intellectual property rights attached to the performance. Taking photos? Don't do it! You are allowed to take photos during the bows and the final applause!
- 05Just imagine your phone ringing during a quiet scene. Turn off your mobile phone or put it in airplane mode.
- 06The theatre opens one hour before the start of the performance. You can visit the foyer at that time for refreshments or to use the restroom. The auditorium doors open 30 minutes before the start of the performance; you may take your seats from then on.
- 07As long as your late arrival does not disturb the performance, we will do our best to seat you. If necessary, you will be assigned another, easily accessible seat. You may then take your own seat after the intermission.
- 08There is no recording of the performance. However, a richly illustrated program brochure is available for purchase exclusively at the theater on performance days.
- 09Yes, there is a program brochure with information about the performance, the company, the composer, the choreographer, and the history of Swan Lake. The brochure is richly illustrated with exclusive photos. Please note: this souvenir is only available for purchase at the theater, just before and just after the performance, and during the intermission.
